I'm often asked about the possibility of joining as a contributor to The Droid Lawyer blog. My initial gut reaction is, "it's called The Droid Lawyer for a reason; there's only one." Thankfully, I keep my mouth shut.
I welcome guest posts and bloggers to the blog. If you're interested in blogging at The Droid Lawyer, here's what you need to do:
Give up your dream nowPolish off that blog post that has been sitting in the nether-regions of your external drive;- Check to make sure its content is (a) law/lawyer related; (b) free of obscenities or indecent statements; (c) is your own work; (d) about any of the Droid Lawyer topics: lawyers & Android OS, Android OS; Android Tablets, Productivity with Android OS, Google and Android OSwell, you get the idea;
- Send an email to jeff [at] thedroidlawyer [dot] com with a copy of your post contents, a short (50 words or less) biography about you with links to your business/personal email and social media landing pages, and a second page with the following statement signed and dated: I swear or affirm that the content contained in this blog post, [Name of Blog Post], is of my own creative work, and that I have obtained the express written permission from the copyright owner, which I am attaching to this statement, to post any pictures, media or other statements which is not my own. I further swear or affirm that I have not submitted this post to any other websites, blogs, magazines or other media outlets, and if so, I am submitting this post with the express written permission, which I am attaching to this statement, of the media or website owner.;
- Attach copies of the written authorizations (if required) to the email;
- Wait for the blog post to appear.
It's simple, but your failure to follow the instructions and provide the required items means I will reject your post. Also, by submitting your content, you agree that you're waiving any claim or right you have to the content, to the extent of the law, and authorize me to use the post as I see fit on The Droid Lawyer blog.
I also welcome comments or other interaction. This is simple enough, and should allow you to ask questions about content and other issues. You can also make suggestions about topics or other relevant issues.
Have fun, and feel welcome to contribute.
