I LOVE the Amazon Kindle app. I know, it's shocking given my lustful praise for all things Google. The Kindle app is head-and-shoulders above Google Books, although Google Books is catching up.
I love being able to relax and read something of interest (currently it's Nothing to Envy by Barbara Demick). Here are a few of my likes:
- The app's
intrusionintuitiveness into my reading preferences. - Whispersync (over-the-air download).
- Selection.
- Simplicity.
Well, today's email from Amazon piqued my love even more. Now, subscribers to Amazon Prime will receive access to books from the lending library for free. That's access to over 100 NYT current and former bestsellers, and over 5000 other books. AWESOME!
However, and unfortunately, it doesn't appear that Kindle App is going to cut it anymore. Looks like the time to upgrade to Kindle Fire is here.
